I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a camera in my hand. My folks were always buying the latest model and somehow I ended up being the official family photographer. My parents were great believers in the family vacation; we traveled extensively in the best way possible: the legendary family station wagon – with a travel-trailer attached. Our travels took us far and wide throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico and I viewed all of the wonderful people and places through the lens of a camera.
I got my first taste of photojournalism when I took yearbook for two years in high school. I followed that with ROP Communications Studies in college and a short photo internship at KOVR TV-13 Sacramento. That short internship led to a career as a TV News Videographer. During my many years as a professional videographer, I logged many more miles traveling all over this beautiful country with my camera in hand.
Now I have struck out on my own and I am thrilled to have my own business and of course, I still love taking pictures. It is definitely my passion! My blog, klncreations, is geared towards folks who want to discover their artistic side using digital imaging. Its primary focus is to have fun with your camera. No matter a persons skill-level, digital imaging is a great way to be creative.
In addition to my blog, I am working with a colleague of mine on developing a local news website – thinknews. Our site is still in its infancy, and we are enjoying putting together positive stories about our community. I am excited about the various projects that we currently have in the works and hope to have regular contributions soon. Please stop in at our site from time to time to view its content and see our progress.
